Education Connect Event

On January 22nd La Oportunidad, in collaboration with Richfield High School and as part of the Latino Youth Development Collaborative, hosted the first Education Connect event for Latino families. The event provided information for youth and their parents about the various educational resources that are available in their community. We had over 20 agencies participating at the event and each shared briefly about the services they provide. The goal of the Education Connect events is to improve access to academic resources for Latino youth and families which directly contribute to their school success.
