Television Program
"En Familia" is the only weekly Spanish TV program for the Latino community in Minnesota. "En Familia" celebrates its fourth year of production and has received broad community recognition. The show is aired all year long every Saturday at 5:00 p.m. on MTN, local channel 17, and from March to June every Saturday at 9:30 p.m. on TPT-MN.
"En Familia" brings information and resources, and empowers its viewers to thrive and contribute to the strength of the community. Topics discussed include: education, community development, programs and resources in the community, prevention, health, housing, and many others.
The program is produced and hosted by Eloisa Echávez, Executive Director of La Oportunidad, Inc. The interviewees are well-known community members as well as other individuals who work to improve the quality of life for Latinos in Minnesota.
