Peace Conference
Latino Youth Peace and Leadership Conference
May 11th 2012
Augsburg College
The Latino Youth Peace Conference is an annual event that provides Latino youth, school staff, mentors and community leaders the opportunity to gather together and explore the power of peace and peacemaking, as well as address important issues impacting Latino youth. It provides youth participants with an opportunity for internal growth, new perspectives, and an opportunity to connect and interact with other Latino youth and community leaders from throughout the Twin Cities area. The conference is planned by a committee of leaders under the guidance of La Oportunidad staff. The Latino Youth Peace Conference, which takes place in May, serves approximately 200 youth annually.
Important Registration Information:
Students must be pre-registered in order to attend the conference. If you would like to bring a group of youth to the conference, please contact Maureen Springer at maureens@oportunidad.org or 612-872-6165 ext. 17.
